location: da Costakade, Amsterdam, The Netherlands postwork: b&w, curves, boarder
Sometimes it feels so god damn lucky to live in Amsterdam ^^ today i was walking from uni home and the light was amazing and the water still. I ran home for my camera and came back to make some pictures if the canals. I'm very into b&w lately, the colours were nice but it looked really proper in b&w.
Schitterende plaat.

I was in Amsterdam by the end of February, but unfortunately, the bad weather didn't allow shots of still waters in the canals. I still took several pictures pretty similar to this one (in b&w too), so yours reminds me of the good times I spent there.
yeah it's quite unusual for us here to have still water on the canals, due to the hard wind that almost never lets go at the moment it's raining and the wind is blowing hard. the day i took the picture the colours were lovely as well, but it was a late afternoon and I couldn't get it right on that canal. glad to hear you had some good times here and that my pictures brings the memories back to life

I see it's summer time for Dutch folks too! Wind and rain are part of the place anyway; it would be too different otherwise. A bit like my homeland, but even worse.
(I also saw your uni while staying in Amsterdam, and it made me wish I had done my time there.)
which part did you see? the one in centre of the city? if so I studied there two years when I was doing law, now I'm doing economics and the location makes me doubt about my choice it's still allright tho and well I'm not so often there ;]
